What I Wore: Tuesday Edition

My last first day of college has come and gone! Honesty, I’ve been back in school for two days, but it seems like Monday was five days ago. I can’t even explain it! I know the rest of the semester will fly by, but these first few days I seem to be packing five days-worth of activities into a single day!
Well, as you may have guessed from the title, this is a post more or less about what I chose to wear for my first day official day of classes (plus a bonus workout at the end!). My dress is from 318 On The Avenue, a small boutique in downtown Norfolk, NE. This boutique is where I spent most of my summer as an intern. Anyway, I fell in love with this shift dress the moment I saw it in the store. It has the perfect blend of fall colors and bright colors. Paired with the perfect throw-on cardi in camel, I was all set for the chilly morning and air-conditioned buildings.
Unfortunately, the dress is sold out, but you can find the cardigan here: http://www.318ontheavenue.com/#!product/prd1/3995183591/perfect-throw-on-cardi
At $29, these cardigans are a must in multiple colors!

After classes, I headed over to East Campus to check out the new rec center and lift with Leah, my favorite fitness instructor and friend. Leah is who first inspired me to pursue my own group fitness certification, a class I’m taking this semester (it starts next week – I’m so excited!). She showed me around the new rec center which is amazing! Bright and open, the East Rec Center is fresh, modern, and brand new. There are windows everywhere, which makes the space feel large, airy, and open. Leah and I completed a few exercises before heading upstairs for her HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) Strength group fitness class. It was a packed room tonight, but the workout was great nonetheless. I was able to wear the new leggings I picked up last week at Target for under $20, plus the new Brooks shoes I bought yesterday. Is it weird that I kept staring at my legs in the mirror because I loved my leggings that much?

Now, before we continue, let’s all just take a moment to come together and share our love of Target. If you don’t have a love affair with Target, I’m sorry, but something is wrong with you. Every time I walk in to Target, I see all the shiny, new items that are screaming at me to buy them. I always head straight to the little dollar section – you never know what amazing deals you’ll find there! Along with my leggings, last week I also purchased two new pair of flats for this semester. I am a total heels girl, but on campus, heels=not practical ever ever ever. EVER.
Tomorrow, I have class from 12-3pm on East Campus, then I plan on hitting up the East Campus Rec Center again! Here’s a peek at the workout I have planned for myself:
5 rounds:
10 jump squats
10 glute bridges (with 12lb weight)
10 tricep dips
10 total single arm thrusters (with 10 lb weight)
10 situps
10 burpees
Then:
21-15-9-5 (do 21 reps of each move, then 15 reps of each move, etc)
Squat clean (I use the 45lb bar)
Lunges (45lb bar on my back)
Push jerk (35-40lb bar)
Then:
60/45/30 seconds (do each exercise for 60 seconds, then each for 45 seconds, then 30 seconds)
Sumo deadlift/upright row (complete this superset as stated above, then move onto the next one)
Squats/chest flies
Leg dropdowns/plank hold
