Heartbreak in Husker Nation

Gut-wrenching.
Despair.
Anguish.
Another heartbreaking loss has just occurred in Husker Nation.
I cannot even begin to explain how I feel right now. I love our football team and I believe in our football team, but how can we be looking a 2-4 record in the face? How is this possible?
To bring back one of Bo’s favorite words: execution.
We played our hearts out, yet, in the final minutes of the 4th quarter, we didn’t execute. We let Wisconsin back into the game with enough seconds left to make a few plays. As it turns out, that’s all Wisconsin needed.
As a fan, watching our team lose such tough, close games is extremely difficult, but I can’t even imagine how the players and coaches feel. To work so hard and come so close to a huge victory, only to have it swept out from under your feet is emotionally taxing.
But, what’s done is done, and it’s time to move on to Minnesota. Once a fan, always a fan.
I guess I'll turn my attention to the Husker Volleyball team for a victory, as they play MIchigan at 7:30 tonight on NET.
