Are You Worth It?

Today, I’m asking you the question, are you worth it?

Are you worth it to be healthy?

Are you worth it to feel good?

Are you worth it to be happy?

Too often, we stop ourselves from reaching our full potential, from reaching what we are truly meant for: a happy, healthy life. We sabotage ourselves, letting our busy, busy, busy lives keep us from taking time to ourselves, from taking time to make ourselves happy. We put others’ happiness and health before our own. We do not stop to think about our choices and how they might affect our well-being in the long run.

In short, we do not treat ourselves like we are worth it.

So what can we do about it?

For starters, begin by recognizing that you are selling yourself short. Realize that you have a right to be happy and healthy.

Then, make it happen.

Maybe you start buying healthy foods that make you feel better.

Maybe you take five minutes in the morning to put on your favorite outfit that you know makes you look amazing.

Maybe you surround yourself by candles in a bubble bath for a half an hour or enjoy a long, warm shower.

Maybe you go to your favorite exercise class, lift some weights, or go for a walk outside.

Maybe you look in the mirror and see a beautiful person, who is made perfect in her imperfections.

Whatever you do, do it with purpose, because you are worth it.
