Tomorrow, it all begins. My first module through the Institute of Integrative Learning opens, and I can officially begin the health coaching course!
Words can’t express how excited I am to finally start learning about how to make health coaching a career. The Holistic Health Coaching program through IIN is one year long, and six months into the program, I can begin seeing clients! How awesome is that?!
As I go through each new module (a new module is released every Monday), I’ll be sharing some of the new, fascinating insights that I’ll discover about healthy living with all of you. Each module will be a combination of videos from various guest lecturers, as well as different assignments to complete. There are four exams and a few other projects I’ll have to complete as well.
In addition, the program through IIN delves into three main topics: nutrition, business, and marketing. First, IIN emphasizes an approach to nutrition that focuses on bio-individuality, meaning that what diet works for one person may not work for another. Second, the business section will explore how to set up and run a successful health coaching practice. This is the part of the program I am most looking forward to, as I already have some knowledge about various nutritional theories, but I am craving information about how to establish myself as a health coach. Lastly, the marketing aspect of the course will teach me how to market my services and spread the word about my practice!
As much as I want to be at the finish line of this health coaching course, I’m excited to take this process one day at a time. When I’m finished in November 2016, I can’t wait to look back on the previous year and see how I’ve grown. After I begin this program, I will be changed. How? I’m not sure, but I welcome this opportunity of growth and change with open arms.
I hope you will follow along with me on this journey through the IIN curriculum. Who knows, maybe you will be inspired along the way as well! Have a great week!
